Batch 16 More Than Juice. Better Every Batch.

Sustainability & Process

This week we focused on making Freshstart more sustainable. Cold-pressed juice uses a lot of water to wash produce and clean equipment. Instead of sending it down the drain, we collect and reuse it to water the backyard garden where Freshstart first began.

Recipe development notes

Batch 11 remains an active Research & Development formulation. The focus is on creating a bold, refreshing juice that highlights the strong ginger profile preferred by our Oakland and Bay Area customers. As with all Freshstart recipes, data from each batch is used to continuously improve flavor, consistency, and yield. Lessons learned

Seasonality matters. Removing apples meant rethinking the flavor balance while preserving the experience customers enjoy. Through multiple batches and small adjustments, we simplified the recipe, held production efficiency, and landed on a formula we're confident in.
